In order to create and publish ads to Facebook through Qwaya, you'll need a Facebook user and a Facebook ad account. If you don’t have an ad account, Facebook will automatically create one if you set up a Business account.
Step 1 – Set up your ad creatives
Once you've selected your ad account, all you need to do is head to the 'Create ads' section and select your Facebook page (or place) from the menu on the left:
You can then select your ad type (1) and your objective (2) before proceeding to add content to your creative:
Things to keep in mind:
The objective is set at the creative level in Qwaya. If you're planning to publish to an existing campaign, please ensure that the objectives are the same.
If you add multiple lines of text, images or videos, Qwaya will automatically generate creatives for each of the variations.
Once you've finished designing your creative, you have two options:
Save as new template - It's a creative that I wish to edit/reuse in the future.
Use creative - It's a one-off creative that I wish to publish now.
After creating your ad(s) they'll be visible on the creative canvas:
You can now move on to the next step, defining your target audience!
Step 2 – Set up your target audience
Click on 'Set targeting' in the menu and click on 'New targeting':
You can also drag and drop Qwaya templates and saved audiences from the menu on the left on to the targeting canvas.
Next, simply define your audience from the options available:
Once you've finished creating your audience, you have two options:
Save as new template - It's an audience that I wish to edit/reuse in the future.
Use targeting - It's a one-off audience that I want to target now.
After creating your audience(s) they'll be visible on the targeting canvas:
You can now move on to the final step, publishing your ads to Facebook!
Step 3 – Create the campaign, set up bidding, tracking and publish your ads to Facebook
Once your creatives and target audiences have been created, simply head to the 'Publish ads' section.
For this example, I created 1 ad and 1 target audience (as shown by the number on each tab), which means that I'll generate 1 ad set and 1 ad when publishing.
If you have 1 audience listed in the 'Set targeting' section and 1 creative listed in the 'Create ads' section, you'll create 1 ad in total (1 ad set containing 1 ad).
If you have 2 audiences listed in the 'Set targeting' section and 1 creative listed in the 'Create ads' section, you'll create 2 ads in total (2 ad sets containing the same ad in each).
If you have 2 audiences listed in the 'Set targeting' section and 2 creatives listed in the 'Create ads' section, you'll create 4 ads in total (2 ad sets containing the same 2 ads in each).
Click on 'Generate X ads' to open the publishing wizard.
You can choose whether to publish to a new or existing campaign:
You can then enter a static or dynamic name for your ad sets/ads and enter a start/end time if desired.
In the next section, you'll be able to set your optimization goal, the billing event and your conversion event/window (if you've selected the 'Conversion' objective when designing your creative).
The options in this section will vary depending on the ad type and objective that you selected when designing your creative.
You can also add your budget, budget level and bid strategy.
In the next section, you can select your Facebook pixel and define your URL parameters:
Finally, you can review your settings and remove certain ads if desired. Once you're happy, all you need to do is click on 'Publish' ads
In the publish ads section, you'll be able to see the publishing progress. Once complete, you'll be able to view your new campaigns/ad sets/ads in the 'My campaigns' section.
